Who we are

Steady Bids (formerly ContractSignal) is operated by Steady Bids LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company, 180 Talmadge Rd PMB 239, Edison, NJ 08817 ([email protected]). This policy describes how we handle information when you use steadybids.com, join the waitlist, complete onboarding, subscribe, or receive our emails.

What we collect

Waitlist. Email address and, if you choose, company name and ZIP code, plus submission time.

Customer profile (onboarding). Company and contact name, email, phone, business address and ZIP, service radius, states served, services offered, facility types, certifications, NJ business-registration answer, bonding capacity, insurance limits, typical contract-size preference, exclude keywords, digest timing preference, consent timestamp, and (if present) a Stripe Checkout session id used to link your profile to billing.

Billing. Payment card and billing details are collected and processed by Stripe. We receive subscription status, customer id, and related billing metadata; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Service usage. Draft-request tokens and timestamps when you click “Draft my response”; email delivery events as provided by our email vendor; and operational logs needed to run matching and sends.

Outreach suppression. If you opt out of cold outreach or digests, we keep your email (or domain) on a suppression list so we do not contact you again for that purpose.

Derived matching data. We use your ZIP with a public ZIP-centroid dataset to estimate distance to opportunities.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive government identifiers (SSN, SAM entity UEI for your firm) through the website forms described above.

How we use it

We use this information to match you to public contract opportunities, send digests and reminders you requested, generate optional AI response-kit drafts, process payments and manage subscriptions, honor opt-outs, improve coverage priorities, and contact you about the Service or pilot.

Processors and sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data with service providers only as needed to operate the Service:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. Public opportunity content we send you comes from government and public sources (including SAM.gov via its official API); that content is not “your” personal data.

Retention and your choices

Waitlist and profile data are kept until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them to provide the Service or meet legal/accounting needs. Billing records follow Stripe’s and our bookkeeping retention. Suppression entries are kept so opt-outs continue to be honored. To access, correct, or delete your information, or to unsubscribe, email [email protected].

State privacy laws (including New Jersey)

Depending on thresholds and definitions, comprehensive state privacy laws (such as the New Jersey Data Privacy Act) may or may not apply to a small B2B service like ours. Regardless of formal applicability, you may contact us to request access or deletion of profile and waitlist data we hold. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.

Security and international processing

We use reputable processors and limit access to operational need. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Our processors may process data in the United States.

Children

The Service is directed at businesses, not children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy by posting a new version with a revised “Last updated” date.
